About
Hamyang's mountain-grown ginseng — raised above 500m in germanium-rich soil, dense-fleshed and high in saponin — is billed as Korea's premium sansam, backed by the country's first wild-ginseng traceability system. The festival unfolds in Sangnim Park, a 1,100-year-old planted forest and Natural Monument, with programs reviving the culture of the simmani (wild-ginseng hunters), local-produce markets, and forest-and-culture events. Free, 10:00–21:00; the ancient forest alone justifies the visit.
