About
Jincheon's folk festival, running since 1979 on the Baekgokcheon riverside — the county's biggest annual event, drawing tens of thousands. The name comes from the old saying 'saenggeo Jincheon': the best place to live. Folk-arts competitions, a local-food cook-off, ssireum wrestling, performances, exhibitions, hands-on programs, and a food market fill the grounds, with the county's famously abundant farm produce on sale throughout.
