About
Twice a month, the tide at Muchangpo Beach pulls back to expose a 1.5km sea road — and this Boryeong festival is timed to it. By day, walk the tidal flats when the sea parts, catch fish bare-handed, and watch open-air madanggeuk theater; after dark, the signature LED torch walk sends a line of lights out across the exposed seabed. A rare festival where the main event is a natural phenomenon, with the schedule set by the tide tables. Free entry; some programs paid.
