About
Gunsan preserves one of Korea's densest concentrations of Japanese colonial-era architecture, and its signature festival turns that district into a stage for time travel. Large flash-mob performances recreate the era's global currents, the 'March 5th' event fills the streets with the cry of the 1919 independence movement, and a time-currency system converts participation into souvenirs and discounts. Retro 7080 games and food round out a festival that manages to be both a history lesson and a proper day out. Free (some programs paid), 10:00–21:00.
