A noodle festival for Gunsan's claim to fame: jjamppong, the spicy seafood noodle soup that evolved here from the Chinese-Korean chomamyeon of the port's overseas-Chinese community. Chinese-restaurant booths, jjamppong-themed programs, and stages fill the Baeknyeon Plaza.
