About
An open-air contemporary art festival at Gangjeong, by the sculptural ARC building on the Nakdong River. It inherits the spirit of the 1970s Daegu Contemporary Art Festival, when young artists challenged the rigidity of the art establishment — the 1977 edition at this very riverside drew some 200 artists in what is considered Korea's first collective art event. Free, open 11:00–22:00, and easy to combine with a riverside bike ride out of Daegu.
