About
In 1232, at the small earthen fortress of Cheoinseong, the monk-commander Kim Yun-hu and local villagers repelled the second Mongol invasion — killing the Mongol general Sartai in one of the great upsets of the era. Yongin's 35th festival in their honor stages a musical of the battle, mounted martial-arts shows, horseback riding, Goryeo costume try-ons, pottery and craft workshops, and guided history walks, closing with night performances and fireworks. Free entry, 10:00–22:00, with food trucks on site. A linked mission event connects it to October's Poeun Culture Festival.
