Jangsaengpo was once Korea's whaling capital; today its Whale Culture Special Zone celebrates coexistence instead, and the festival turns 30 with the theme 'The whale's invitation — a 30th birthday party!'. Four days bring a whale parade, themed performances, a 300-citizen chorus, special fireworks, kids' festa, AR and AI whale experiences, an anniversary archive exhibition, and food zones — plus year-round attractions like the whale-watching cruise and ecology hall.
